Armenian Sports in April 2025: Gold and Resounding Victories
Other sports Exclusive

April was truly an Olympic month for Armenian sports: major international tournaments were held in disciplines where Armenian athletes have traditionally been strong — wrestling, weightlifting, boxing, and judo. Competitions in sambo also took place — though not an Olympic sport, Armenians consistently achieve success in it. In addition, the Ice Hockey World Championship Division IV was held in Yerevan.

Four Armenian athletes became European champions. Notably, all of them had already triumphed at this level before. Malkhas Amoyan claimed his fourth gold at the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships.
