Armenian sambists win 8 medals at the World Youth Championships

On October 5, in Bogor (Indonesia), the 2025 World Sambo Championships for Youth (U18) and Juniors (U20) concluded. The Armenian national team performed successfully, winning a total of 8 medals — 1 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze.

Robert Simonyan (58 kg, U20) became a world champion as part of the Armenian team.

In the overall medal standings, the Russian team claimed a confident victory, while Armenia took 6th place.
