Armenian sambo athletes won 4 medals in Kazan

From November 22 to 24, the international sambo tournament “Grand Prix of the Republic of Tatarstan” was held in Kazan. Athletes from Armenia, as well as from Russia, Kazakhstan, Abkhazia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, took part in the competition.

Armenian sambo athletes claimed 4 medals: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze. Karen Sargsyan (58 kg) became the tournament champion in sport sambo. Silver medals were won by Tigran Grigoryan (64 kg) in sport sambo and Hamlet Sukiasyan (58 kg) in combat sambo, while Mher Ohanyan (71 kg) secured bronze in sport sambo.
