Armenia national team players Vahan Bichakhchyan and Artur Serobyan have been officially registered by their respective clubs for the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
Midfielder Vahan Bichakhchyan will represent Polish side Legia Warsaw, which begins its campaign for the group stage with a match against Kazakhstan's Aktobe. The Armenian player joined Legia at the start of 2025 and has already made several appearances for the team. During the pre-season, he provided an assist and caught the attention of new head coach Edward Iordănescu. Bichakhchyan is listed in the squad with the number 21 shirt.
Another Armenian representative, 22-year-old Artur Serobyan, is also included in the squad of his club, Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol. The midfielder joined Sheriff earlier this year and quickly secured a place in the starting lineup. He has already scored a goal this season and was named the team’s player of the month on one occasion. In the first round of Europa League qualifying, Sheriff will face Kosovo’s Prishtina.
Both ties will have their first legs on July 10, with the return legs scheduled for July 17. The winners will move one step closer to the group stage of Europe’s second-tier club competition.
For Armenian players, participation in European competitions is a great opportunity to showcase their talent on the international stage and attract attention from stronger leagues.
