From March 20 to 22, Tbilisi will host the third stage of the 2026 Judo Grand Slam series. For the first time this season, Armenia’s senior national team will compete, represented by four athletes.
Armenian team lineup:
60 kg: Vahe Aghasyan, Martin Badalyan
73 kg: Artak Torosyan
100 kg: Gor Karapetyan
This will be Armenia’s first tournament of 2026, and immediately at such a prestigious level. Notably, ahead of the competition, the team held a training camp in Nymburk, Czech Republic, under the guidance of Hovhannes Davtyan.
Right after the Grand Slam, the Armenian team will participate in another tournament in Tbilisi with the same lineup — Tbilisi ITC 2026, scheduled for March 23–28. Then, from April 16 to 19, the 2026 European Championships will take place in the Georgian capital, where Armenia will also compete with this squad.
