Arman Tsarukyan Offered Opponent $5,000 to Skip Weight Cut Before RAF 06

Arman Tsarukyan attempted to convince Giorgio Poullas to skip cutting weight ahead of their face-off at the RAF 06 tournament.

Tsarukyan offered his opponent $5,000 to agree to compete in an open weight category — without the exhausting preparation for the official weigh-in. However, judging by the reaction, Poullas was not pleased with the proposal.

A video of the fighters’ meeting before the press conference was published by Tsarukyan’s manager. The footage shows the athletes discussing the possibility of changing the fight conditions.

It is worth noting that Arman Tsarukyan and Giorgio Poullas will compete in a freestyle wrestling match at RAF 06 on February 28 in Tempe, Arizona.
