Ararat claim first win of the season with dramatic comeback against Van

Ararat secured their first victory of the current season by defeating Van 2–1 in the match of the 17th round of the championship.

The visitors opened the scoring in this match — Brazilian newcomer Maurinho scored in his debut game for Van. Ararat were trailing until the closing stages of the match but managed to turn the game around in the final minutes.

The main hero of the match was Kalifala Doumbia. The striker came on as a substitute in the second half and scored a brace. He first equalized in the 85th minute and then secured victory for his team by converting a penalty in the 97th minute.

Thus, Ararat earned a 2–1 comeback win and collected their first three points of the season.
