Ararat-Armenia thrash Van and return to the top of the table

Ararat-Armenia confidently defeated Van 3–0 in the latest round of the Armenian championship and reclaimed first place in the standings.

The team earned three points and now leads Pyunik by two points, although the latter still has a game in hand.

The goals were scored by the club’s newcomers Zadan Banjaki and Aliun Ndur, who converted a penalty. Another goal was added by Artur Serobyan — it became his fourth goal of the current season.

The teams will meet again in the next round. The match between Ararat-Armenia and Van will take place on March 20. After this game, the championship will pause for the international break.
