49-year-old former Armenian national team player Andrey Movsesyan has rejoined Spartak Moscow. He has been appointed Deputy General Director for Russian scouting and youth football development.
A Spartak academy graduate, Movsesyan played over 100 matches for the club’s reserve team in the early 1990s. After retiring as a player, he spent more than a decade working at CSKA Moscow, holding positions as a scout and sporting director.
Movsesyan earned 18 caps and scored 3 goals for the Armenian national team. His return to Spartak is seen as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its system for discovering and developing talented Russian players.
