The third season of the youth Freedom QJ League has concluded in Kazakhstan, with Kairat U17 emerging as the main winner. The Almaty-based team went through the entire tournament unbeaten, securing the title of invincible champions after a confident 3–1 victory over Taraz in the final round.
Among the champions was Alan Arakelyants, a 17-year-old Armenian defender standing 189 cm tall. This season, he played 14 matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. Born in Kazakhstan, Arakelyants is a graduate of Kairat’s academy and is considered one of the club’s most promising young talents.

In 2024, the player made his debut for the Kazakhstan U17 national team, where he has already appeared in three matches.
Kairat’s team (players born in 2008) continues an impressive unbeaten streak — 44 matches in a row without a loss since last year’s QJ League season. The team’s attacking leader, Daulet Orynbasar, became the league’s top scorer with 20 goals.
The Freedom QJ League is a large-scale project organized by the Kazakhstan Football Federation with the support of Freedom Holding Corp., bringing together the country’s best youth teams. The champion of the competition earns the right to represent Kazakhstan in the UEFA Youth League.
For Alan Arakelyants, this triumph marks an important step in his youth career and another achievement on his path toward professional football.
